Project Overview

The problem, the constraint and what shipped.

Context

The property radar started as a practical response to searching several UK rental platforms repeatedly while looking around Brighton and Cambridge.

Challenge

Collect inconsistent listings from multiple sources, recognise duplicates and make genuinely new or relevant opportunities easier to spot.

Result

Built a working personal search tool that centralises listings, tracks what has already been seen and makes a repetitive search considerably easier to manage.

My Contribution

A self-directed build, covering the decisions from problem definition through to a useful working system.

    Built a scraper-based platform to collect and organise property listings from multiple UK housing websites.

  • 02

    Used Playwright and database deduplication to track new listings and avoid repeated results.

  • 03

    Created filtering for location, platform, bedrooms, square footage, seen listings, and favourites.

  • 04

    Designed the tool around a real personal use case: finding places around Brighton and Cambridge more efficiently.
